Very soon, things in this country will be much less tolerable, and if I am sent to prison the precedent will gag your mouths as well.

@ Soren: I can see that a gross injustice has been done by the Moloch state to a decent and public-spirited individual, and I’m aware of what seem like similar cases happening over here in the UK.

Am I speaking only for myself or are there any other -perhaps UK-based - MRers who don’t understand fully the technical IT details he’s talking about or the use and abuse of US law that’s being displayed by the “authorities”?

Many of the commenters on the linked post may well be regular readers or followers and will have more idea of the situation.

Despite putting quite a bit of time in last night I found it difficult to discover exactly what’s going on.

One thing is clear, the sheer bloody triumphalistic nastiness of Normandy, whose comments brilliantly illustrate the old Furor Talmudicus or Odium Judaicus.

Soren, please could you spare a few minutes to clarify things?

Weev, why do you constantly avoid admitting that your current legal troubles are due to drug possession and not the whole iPad incident. Is this a shell game of blame you are trying to run on folks who believe everything you say at face value, just another plan to draw attention to yourself, which you so dearly crave, or both? I mean, you seem to love the attention that you generate but when it backfires, you’re quick to scream victim.

IRCFRAUDALERT, Weev’s drug problem may stem from the confusion of both Feds and state laws enforcing drug laws. After all, Obama thinks states can’t handle immigration law because it is handled by the feds. Same with drugs, all states should legalize drugs and let the Feds handle it.

The problem with having different laws in different states is that after you’ve finished trashing one state, and you have to move to another, it is too confusing to learn new stuff to stay out of jail. Also, if someone notices how different public policies affect the human environment in reality, it actually tests hypotheses in the humanities and that would unleash a torrent of hate facts upon an unsuspecting world.
