Posted by Johan Van Vlaams on May 31, 2006, 03:25 AM | # A South African friend of me remarked the following: Watch the clip without the audio. Show it to others with out the audio. The reason being, one of the things interviewers look for, to see if someone is lying, is their eye movement. When people are lying their eyes tend to dart to the left. Their pupils also dilate. This causes squinting. The “Police Minister” does both. His eyes are moving a lot, and he squints. This happens when he says “there is no coordinated effort” in the farm attacks. 3

Remark: the so-called ‘security minister’ described white farmers as occupying rather than owning their land and farms.
The background is this: http://www.news24.com/News24/South_Africa/Politics/0,,2-7-12_1935851,00.html
Another related South African scandal: pupils are spying the white farmers, see (in Afrikaans) http://www.news24.com/Die_Volksblad/Nuus/0,,5-83_1935597,00.html
The pupils must make sketches of the farm buildings. Note distances to the next villages, note the number of occupants, the number of visits from neighbours and the art of cooperation with them, the kind of farm workers and where they come from…and when a farmer asked the pupils what they were doing, the pupils said that they were not allowed to show their list of questions because the teacher forbids it. And when asked, neither was there any reaction from the school department. Do they have something to hide? Is this part of a new school plan?
