The Roodt interview. My interview of Dr Dan Roodt, which took place on Tuesday evening, is now on the Radio page. It is in three parts of about 20 minutes each. Dan Roodt is a leading campaigner for the white South African and, most especially, Afrikaner cause. He is also an author, journalist and blogger, and links to his on-line publications are here: Dan Roodt’s blog. Posted by Guessedworker on Friday, December 4, 2009 at 03:24 PM in MR Radio Comments:2

[...] [C]hief Copenhagen negotiator, Mohammad al-Sabban, suggested in an interview with the BBC yesterday that there was now no longer any point in seeking an agreement to reduce emissions. “It appears from the details . . . that there is no relationship whatsoever between human activities and climate change,” he said. “Climate is changing . . . but for natural and not human-induced reasons. So whatever the international community does to reduce greenhouse gas emissions will have no effect on the climate’s natural variability.” His government might be prepared to take “no cost” measures to control emissions but more drastic and painful action would be out of the question until there was “new evidence” about what was causing climate change, he said. 5

And if we agree with the author(s) of such rhetoric and suggest that something be done about it then what do they do? They go into hysterics and denounce us as knuckle dragging racists who vote BNP. These Daily Mail articles, (and Spectators) are two a penny and so are their denunciations of anyone who suggests common sense remedies. The Mail’s Littlejohn has a PHD in all of this, as has Frazer Nelson of the Spectator. (And Melanie Philips) Whose side are these columnists and their masters on? 7
Posted by Dasein on December 06, 2009, 08:43 AM | # Another great interview, GW. Very sad situation there. Hopefully not all of the media will distort the lessons that Whites should be drawing from SA. This vibe thing is something I’ve also heard from SA nationals living in the UK. Most of them were late 20’s, early 30’s, without families, and I interpreted the vibe thing as meaning it’s a great place to party when you’re young. 8
Posted by Guessedworker on December 06, 2009, 12:13 PM | # Dan Roodt was great value, very positive in his approach and easy to interview. Actually, I think I could have just said, “Hi, folks, here’s Dan Roodt,” and he would have filled the hour just as well! 9
Posted by Dan Dare on December 06, 2009, 04:28 PM | # Another first-rate programme. The only minor quibble concerns the soundscape. I found having GW in the right ear and Dr. Roodt in the left very unsettling, so ended up abandoning the headphones and playing the interview through the speakers. The volume also appeared to be imbalanced with Dr. R. at a much higher level than GW. 10
Posted by Guessedworker on December 06, 2009, 04:51 PM | # Dan, The problem was insurmountable. That is the raw recording you hear, which we always do in stereo to allow post-recording balancing and noise reduction. However, the connection was so poor, and so full of bells and whistles, that processing simply reduced clarity too much. So in the interests of being able to hear Dr Roodt, I left the file as is. I should add that the connection broke half-way through the interview and was exactly the same on re-connection. I think it’s just an SA thing - maybe the BEE-enriched SA intelligence services are even less able to provide a workable interface for Skype than the FBI was! Good interview, GW. Your skills as an interviewer are improving with each and every interview.
What stunned me the most is the revelation that some in the Swedish Government used government money to fund the overthrow of Apartheid. That in conjunction with the Anglican Church’s very own Trevor Huddleston’s meddling. WTF!?!? Does the Euro elites’ perverse impulse to engage in self flagellation know any bounds?
