Affirmative Action and life-affirming actions among the Boers

My readers may know from one or two of my earlier posts of the farm murders in South Africa.  Ignored by the ANC government and the world at large, these crimes are, of course, all very shocking.  But they are not the full extent of the wrongs white South Africans, principally the Boers, must suffer.  We should be shocked, too, by the litany of human rights violations against them.  This post, then, is about their steady marginalisation in South African society and the work they are doing to survive it.

( Picture: Poor Afrikaner Feeding Scheme -  courtesy of SA Solidarity trade union)

Solidarity is a trade union with 130,000 members in various industries all across South Africa.  Over 80 per cent of these members are Afrikaners.  The union works hard at organising countrywide feeding schemes for poor Afrikaner children, especially the ones left homeless because parents have been fired from their jobs for being ‘white’.

This is common now in the industrial regions of Gauteng and the Free State.  According to Unisa market research (in Afrikaans), in 2004 there were already a million white South Africans amongst the poorest people in the country, many of them highly qualified Afrikaners.  They eke out a living below the breadline, which means 60 Rand ($10 US currently) a month.  Why?  Because the ANC-regime is deliberately barring all access to the SA job market to ‘whites’, to whom they refer to as “Previously Advantaged”.  If you think that has a ring of revenge to it you might be right.  In what way it is less pernicious than apartheid I do not know.

The victims of this evil don’t qualify for food hand-outs … nor even charity for their children.  Mr Bob Xitlhangoma Mabaso, the MEC of Gauteng’s Department of Social Development, recently declared that subsidies for welfare organisations aiding needy whites are to be discontinued.  It does not matter that all of these children were born after the end of apartheid.  The possession of a white skin is sufficient to make one “Previously Advantaged”

Affirmative Action or Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) simply means ‘whites need not apply’.  But Solidarity’s experience is that, under creeping governmental bureaucratic pressure, many businesses go much further than mere affirmative action.  They discriminate against white people by setting absolute ceilings on white job placements or bursaries for white students, or by using race as a criterion for retrenchment.  There are people now brave enough to speak openly of BEE as Mbeki’s ethnic-cleansing programme.

Others are seeking salvation internationally.  From January 29th to February 18th, 2006 a Solidarity delegation, together with other Afrikaner civil organisations (in Afrikaans), will visit Europe and the United States.  The other organisations are: the Federation of Afrikaner Culture Organisations, the Afrikanerbond, the Afrikaanse Handelsinstituut  (Afrikaner Institute of Commerce), the ATKV (culture organisation), the Voortrekkers (idem), the VRA  (Afrikaner legal professionals) and even the FW de Klerk Foundation.  In America they will attend the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).  Let’s hope the GOP establishment and the conservative press are paying attention.

I mentioned FW de Klerk.  He, of course, was the last Afrikaner president of apartheid South Africa, who, let us recall, won the Noble peace prize jointly with Mandela.  Peace has turned out to mean handing over full power to the ANC without obtaining the autonomy for his people promised - but not guaranteed - in the South African constitution.  De Klerk’s sins are interestingly touched upon in a WorldNetDaily article by the excellent Anthony C. LoBaido.  It is in the form of an interview by WND with two Afrikaner organisations, Solidarity and the Freedom Front Plus party:-

WND: What is your view of former South African President F.W. De Klerk and his perceived sellout of the Afrikaner nation?

FF Plus: De Klerk abused the good faith Afrikaners had in their political leaders to surrender because of his incompetence as a statesman and leader.  During the negotiating, his mind was focused on the wife of one of his best friends instead of the future of South Africa.”

Solidarity: I think the ANC was underestimated during the negotiations.  The National Party based their vision for the future on the goodwill of the ANC.  Thereby, Afrikaners were placed at the mercy of a governing party, without the necessary protection against the new racial agenda that is currently driven by the ANC.

Perhaps the point is not lost even on de Klerk now, and he realises what he has done to his country (history does not record what he did to his friend’s wife).  You may recall that he came to power because PW Botha, his predecessor and great champion of apartheid, had a heart attack.  As it happens, seventeen years later PW is still very much alive ... and still kicking.  An SABC/E-TV interview marking his 90th birthday has just been suppressed by the powers that be.  So, sadly, we do not know what he has to say.

We do know, though, that there is still determination and optimism among Afrikaners.  They are not a beaten people yet.  From the WND article:-

There is still hope for the Afrikaner youth. The FF+ won the Students Council elections at Pretoria University (the largest in SA) for eight consecutive years.  The students started rallies and mass action at the university to demand Afrikaans as the language of instruction.  There is an awakening.  Many whites have started home education because they cannot expose their children to the low standards and Marxist education at state schools.  There is hope.

They will need it.  To say that the ANC government has no interest in their plight is to make saints of them alongside Mandela.  Minister in the Presidency Essop Pahad, an English-educated Indian South African with a white wife, found himself embarrassed at a seminar in Pretoria (inevitably) about racism.  Somehow people with white skin were right there in front of him asking questions about job discrimination.  His response?  He flew at them in a fit of rage, condemning them as the very “racists” in question (in Afrikaans).

On Solidarity’s website you can read the official objective of the “diplomatic journey” to CPAC:-

… to share with organisations abroad information on the implementation of affirmative action in South Africa and to gather information on the implementation of affirmative action in other countries.  The trade union also wants the visit to stimulate an international debate on the implementation of affirmative action in South Africa and its effect on minorities and on the country’s economy, labour force and business sector.

This, certainly, is diplomatic in the sense that it is a calculated understatement.  It refrains from mentioning the worst aspect of BEE: there is no sunset clause, no point at which the economic empowerment of South African blacks will be said to have been achieved, no point at which the pressure on whites will be relaxed.  Unless or until they starve … or manage to leave the country (which we know they are not yet spiritually ready to do).

To return to the beginning, Solidarity is asking all of its supporters to submit their own opinions and experiences of Affirmative Action to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) .  If you are a South African with a story to tell please identify your contribution as “Affirmative Action” in the subject line.  All the contributions will be published on Solidarity’s website.  Daily reports of the CPAC visit will be published too.

Moreover, I would suggest Europeans to contact their representatives in the Council of Europe, recommending them to send an envoy to South Africa to examine the excesses of Affirmative Action against whites.  Last year the CoE saw fit to send an envoy to Ethiopia.  What, beside the skin colour of the victims, could possibly dissuade the CoE from doing the same with South Africa?

Why “principally the Boers?’ I am unaware of any discrimination in the new South Africa in favor of those of British or Jewish descent, most of whom have equally lived in South Africa for generations.

My Johannesburg Jewish ex-wife told me in 1972 that South Africa would not survive into her old age because the West would sell it out and prevent any solution that provided proper safeguards for the non-African (including mixed race and Indian) inhabitants.  Even at that time she had only contempt for the white liberals such as Helen Suzman who abetted the betrayal. Equally, she saw that the apartheid policy had led only to a dead end.

“In what way is it less pernicious than apartheid”.  Apartheid wasnt pernicious. It harmed Blacks less than the actions of their racial cognates in Black-run ‘countries’. During the White-rule years Blacks from outside SA migrated in considerable numbers to work in the mining industry thus voting on the so-called perniciousness of apartheid with their feet.

It might have done damage in the sense of reassuring those who needed to define a civilization-maintaining partition. Those who remain loyal to the furtherance of civilization should see from this example, among others, that affirmative action is decolonizationism.
Racial quotas in recruitment of any class, against a higher-performing population, are decolonizationistic, relative to that group. Further, their use implies the partition of the country which uses them, as in the above way. there are no exceptions to this generalization; even America has partitioned off several new countries from its territories in recent decades, since the decolonizationist quota policies were enacted.
From this follows a prediction: that SA will decolonize and partition off the whites.

Johan, this is an excellent post. I hadn’t realised that affirmative action had made such a great impact on the Boers. Of course, white males in other countries are affected by affirmative action also, but the Boer situation highlights what can happen when such a policy is taken to greater lengths.

Johan, are their any support groups for the victims of Black racism? I’m thinking of something we could financially contribute to.

I ditto Calvin.  I hardly ever donate to anything, but if there was ever a worthy cause, this it it!

I also meant to ask what’s wrong with these well groomed well behaved children in the photograph? Don’t they know that the proper response to victimisation and poverty is to become thieves, drug addicts and gangsters?

God,do I feel for these White afrikaners-sold out by your own “leaders”==left to die on the vine, with no recompense or support. One of the most beautiful countries I’ve been to,now another Cambodia, with another POL POT! Africans wanted independance, they got it,now let them stew in their own juices—no aid[they have their own],no World Bank loans[which will never be repaid],or investment of MY 401k monies [I’d rather piss it away on lap dances] WHEN will the White world wake up to the fact that other than physical structure we have NOTHING in common with Blacks

DONATIONS

I would send your donations to Marge Leitner of Afrikanercharity
http://www.stopboergenocide.com/97969/33801.html

Altough money is most desired, you also may send parcels: http://groups.msn.com/censorbugbear/faminenews.msnw?action=get_message&mview=0&ID_Message=578&LastModified=4675473828801250487

Those who want to send an email to lady Marge Leitner herself: leitnerm@tiscali.co.za
At least this is one person you can be sure that the money arrives where it is most needed.

Don’t forget that when it is spring in the north, winter is arriving in the south. I fact they need everything. There also is no risk giving too much, because there are other white camps in the neighbourhood as well.

Other possibility is to send your money to Charity Afrikaner Asylum Seekers International in the Netherlands http://www.stopboergenocide.com/97969/index.html  They collect the money and send it as a lump sum to Marge Leitner so that the transfer fee (in South Africa very high, 50$ or so + …%) can be reduced. In Holland donations are tax-deductible.

IMPORTANT MARCH FOR A VOLKSTAAT IN PRETORIA

I just got an email from lady Tanya du Preez. .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
concerning the following (in Afrikaans - translation below):

Die Konstitusionele Hof van Suid-Afrika “In re Certification of the Constitution of the RSA, 1996” (vertaling): “Voorstanders van ’n Volkstaat is vry om ’n veldtog te loods vir politieke en grondwetlike veranderinge wat in die vorme van selfbeskikking wat deur hulle as toepaslik beskou word, teweeg gebring en institusionaliseer kan word.”

That means in English that the Constitutional Court of South Africa declared that supporters of a Volkstaat may held a march for political and constitutional reform such as THEY want it.

Saterday March 4, 2006 at 08h00 the Afrikaner women (with buggies) will march in Pretoria from Church Square to the Union Building (appr. 2 km). If there are enough people, they will consider that from that moment on according to international law the Afrikaners have the right to use violence if their Volkstaat demands are not met by the regime.

Solidarity, TLU http://www.tlu.co.za/  and many others will be present. At the head of the march will be the Boer Commando. Men will walk at each side to protect the women.

This is disgusting: no, it is no different from the other sort of apartheid. One observation is elicited by the question of affirmative action as by no other: white liberals are actually pro-black national socialists.

Frank Of Queens .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) of the Brooklyn - New York based radio show The RIGHT Perspective http://www.therightperspective.com/index.html wrote me the following:

I do hope it doesn’t come down to violence! I believe that THREE MILLION PEOPLE represent a huge economic force in Suid Afrika! Therefore economic boycotts are very effective in letting the Bantu Regime know, that Die BoereVolk have legitimate demands that must be met! The Regime is beset by “corruption and incompetence” according to the N.Y.Times. ANC officals who are embezzeling millions of Rand from the government, out of control illegal immigration due to the outlaw Mugabe in Rhodesia, rape which has made a once Christian Nation the rape capitol of the WORLD, murder and crimes of violence against Die Boerevolk, racist murders and assaults against Die BoereVolk under the guise of “random crimes of violence”! Use the economic power of Three MIllion Boeres to let the ANC regime know that you want an end to this outrage and a preservation of your kultuur! God Seen Die BoereVolk! (transl.: God bless the Boerevolk) Volk, Land, Taal, en Vryheid! Die Yankee Bittereinder (transl. : the Yankee die-hard)

Meanwhile Mr. René van der Linden, president of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly, sent me an email (see below in Dutch), that South Africa lays outside the CoE’s formal jurisdiction.

But for your information, I was referring to this http://nazret.com/blog/index.php?title=anna_gomez_ethiopia_must_stop_bloodbath&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1
BTW, lady Gomes also is rapporteur for the CoE. What a pity those people don’t make an exception for the whites in South Africa too.

Email in annex:
Geachte heer,
