Squirrels before pine

As we have been helpfully reminded in a recent post, we owe a huge debt of gratitude to JJR for posting so frequently, even though his beliefs are more enlightened than ours. The man is a paragon, blogging at dozens if not hundreds of sites every day. Perhaps we should rename the site.
I cannot do anything about JJR. Anyway, the IQ stuff he posts is good. But I could do something to clean up MR. I could stop posting material that doesn’t interest people—that includes pretty much everything I post. This is your chance! You, the pullulating myriad readers of MR! What say you? Shall I p*** off?

Gday Soren:
Hang in there, Everyone’s posts are informative, eee , I’m starting to become shy, not many topics on the M R Forum though, I’m feeling a little bit like a road Hogg and have filled in some gaps with perhaps, little less interesting stuff.
So stay and continue.
Anyone would find it hard to out blog JJR. Poligamist of Bloggers (I think) and near edit a whole news paper , ready for print all by himself. A bit like that Duracell Bunny.

Soren, i just averaged out the comments you get and it is 6.6 per entry. That’s pretty good over a long range.

While searching through your past entries, i found about 7 i missed(probably because they were wiped off the top half of the front page too fast for some reason rolleyes  )

How ablout some longer expository posts on ecofascism or a series on peak oil like JWH did for Salter/EGI. We get glimpses of a keen intelligence; put it to it’s fullest use. Give us more to riff off.

I concur with noone, as someone must once have said - though offhand I can’t think who.  Duchamps needs to de-minimalise his heroic whimsy sometimes, and nail the liberal cat to the floor a la Dali.

In general, blogs need as many intriguing corners and interesting commentators as papers and magazines, and for the same reason.  Character and variety build reader interest.  Soren Renner esquire is a unique brand.  Long may he blog.
