Proposition 200 RevisitedSomething amazing happened last week when the citizens of Arizona cast their vote for Proposition 200. That’s the law that denies illegal aliens state services and ensures only citizens can vote. Despite wall-to-wall bullying by the government-media complex the citizens of Arizona voted 56% to 44% for the Proposition. They are lucky to have been able to do so. Only a few states feature the proposition process, their legislators having amended their constitutions or written it into them prior to the European apocalypse of 1914. As a result government organs can be bypassed and law crafted directly. Once crafted, if a threshold number of petition signatures are collected the entire state can vote that law into the civil or criminal code. This faith in majority rights was fulfilled on November 2nd. To return to that wall-to-wall bullying, President Bush, the entire Arizona delegation, the state governor Janet Napolitano , regional newspapers, local television, ethnic mafiosi, and, of course, the Wall Street Journal and New York Times all opposed the Proposition. Yet such opposition to popular will is exactly what the framers of these state constitutions feared. The framers delivered a sword into the hand of the majority, and with it the majority butchered the traitorous elite. The elite, though, will always fight back if and when it can. In 1994 Californians voted for Proposition 187. That, too, denied illegal immigrants access to publicly-funded services. California Governor Gray Davis killed it as soon as he could. Norwithstanding this action Davis secured elected for a second term. Within a year he had signed legislation offering driving priviliges to illegal aliens. And that, and the state economy, proved to be his undoing. Davis was recalled via another freedom-serving constitutional instrument and ousted from office. “For the people to win,” the newly elected Governor Schwarzenegger said, “politics as usual must lose.” Most states in the American south-west have little alternative to politics as usual. They are powerless, and no doubt fatigued by the grim statistics of the Mexican invasion ... Illegitimacy rates: Whites, 22% vs. Hispanics, 41.6%; Birth rates: Whites, 2.01% vs. Hispanics 3.2%; High School drop-out rates: Whites, 6.9% vs. Hispanics, 44.2%. However, it is California that has borne the greatest burden of the immigrant invasion. In LA County alone one-third of the patients treated by the Los Angeles county health system each year are illegal aliens, according to county health officials. In 2002 the county spent $350 million providing health care to illegal aliens, according to the Department of Health Services. Officials said that if that money had been available the county could have avoided the closure of sixteen health clinics and, possibly, two hospitals as well as cuts in services. In all, thirty-nine hospitals have closed since 1996 and as many as fifteen percent more may close by 2005”. The Mexican colonist’s motivations are clear: earn dollars and strike a blow against the white man. The public can only speculate what motivates the American elite’s desire for Mexican colonization - a good guess is money. It comes at little risk. In the last six years, only four companies have been punished for hiring illegal aliens. Residing in the US without permission is a felony. But the California illegal alien population is thought to number over 3 million. Last year 14 billion dollars were exported from the United States by illegal aliens. Concurrently, one can only guess how many tons of marijuana and cocaine are smuggled from Mexico to the north or how many tons of dollars are sent in return. The real how, of course, is the banking system. We should ask more questions, as Europeans ought to ask just how the money spent on Moroccan hashish gets back to Morocco. Regardless, the money is gone. But the aliens stay and continue to compete against Americans in the labor market: depressing wages and producing children with full rights of American citizenship. Due to these monstrous circumstances, in or around the year 2050 European Americans will become a minority in the country they founded 228 years ago. The American people, as shown in polls, want illegal immigration stopped. Since our elected representatives prevaricate we can only conclude our “representatives” have contempt for the popular will or they have a program for the United States at variance with the wishes of the populace. If so then they have forfeited their claim to be representatives. Posted by leslie on Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at 10:26 AM in U.S. Politics Comments:2

Posted by Fred Scrooby on November 10, 2004, 07:40 PM | # Guessedworker asks, “Is [Pres. Bush] driven by the corporations or is there another motive?” Howard Sutherland does a good job of tackling this enigma in his post of Nov. 9th in the readers’ comments section following this VFR log entry. (The other posts in that thread are also well worth reading—virtually every single one.) 4
Posted by Fred Scrooby on November 10, 2004, 08:15 PM | # Also, read this VFR log entry and the readers’ posts in the comments section after it. The ideas expressed therein and in the other VFR log entry and comments thread which I referred to above, are probably as close as anyone has yet come to answering the question why Bush keeps trying so relentlessly, so obsessively, to one-hundred-percent Mexicanize the United States—to Mexicanize it ethnically, racially, linguistically, culturally, religiously. No one really knows why he’s doing it. (That Bush is mentally unsound, incidentally, needs no further demonstration: it couldn’t be more obvious.) Regardless of his motivation, my own feeling about it is we ought to impeach him immediately and put him on trial for treason. 5

Posted by Guessedworker on November 11, 2004, 08:28 AM | # Thanks Fred, This is Auster’s solution, long on strategy, short on specifics. Still, it’s a genuine idea. “As long as we think that it’s a choice between immediately deporting 10 million illegals, and accepting their permanent presence here, we are lost. That is a false choice. The productive way to think about this is not to think about an instant cure, because your inability to achieve that instant cure plunges you into despair. The way to think about this is to REVERSE the current course of things. We begin a pressure on illegals that makes it harder for them to come, and we start enforcing our laws on the ones here. We alter the entire environment which makes them feel welcome. The goal is a net out-migration. If we could achieve that, and sustain it, EVERYTHING would change, because the problem would be getting steadily BETTER rather than steadily WORSE, and because we would be in charge of our destiny again, instead of surrendering, retreating, and despairing.” 7
Posted by Fred Scrooby on November 11, 2004, 09:23 AM | # Thanks for posting that steadying, reassuring advice from Lawrence Auster showing the way ahead. He’s perfectly right, of course: that is exactly how it’s going to have to be done. And that’s exactly how it IS going to be done—Bush or no Bush. 8
Posted by Guessedworker on November 11, 2004, 09:34 AM | # Fred, On the question of motive, having read the VFTR threads (including Howard Sutherland’s contributions), I am not yet satisfied with the solutions put forward. Why would the President of the US return the south-west to Amerindians (not Hispanics, obviously)? It is a mind-bogglingly traitorous course of action. I can only suppose that there is a combination of factors at work in Bush’s addled brain: the interests of corporate America; the influence over domestic policy of those necons who have so influenced foreign policy; the consideration of dynasty, perceived to be advanced by Mexicanisation; and maybe even a moral underpinning supplied by that liberal religious faith which elides so gracefully into universalism. American conservatives surely can’t view this insanity with alacrity. But will they ever begin the ideological journey towards that part of the American right (the paleos, not Natvan!!) who might yet save them.
