For a brief time there the golden dream of “Governor Nifong” shone alluringly.  Well, he’s an ambitious guy and some dreams die hard.

Is there any likelihood that he will be sued for mental anguish by the three accused, and the black stripper will be charged with making false allegations?

And what kind of name is “Nifong” anyway?  How much commonality with the accused does he share?

A Governor Nifong was never very likely in North Carolina but he was re-elected in a county that is nearly 50% black. Most of his support in November’s election came from the blacks as he promised them a trial. According to news reports turnout was higher than usual in black precincts. So if getting re-elected was all that mattered to him then the hi-tech lynching of these uppity white men (paraphrasing Clarence Thomas) did the trick for him.

According to a report on Fox News prosecuters ordinarily have immunity from lawsuits no matter what poor judgement they used to bring someone to trial.  However in this case Nifong appears to have lied about the accused to the press. There is no prosecutorial immunity when it comes to making false statements. So the accused can sue for defamation.

Nifong’s ethnic background? He certainly doesn’t look Chinese! The only info on his identity I’ve found is his religion - Methodist. His wife is called Cy Gurney and his kids have normal English names.

Not much.  From what I read he has immunity stemming from his job.  The taxpayers of his county and state are another matter.

I’d read it was Irish in origin.

I think Ben’s got it.  To Kill a Mockingbird has been his favorite movie since he was twelve and, finally, he sees his chance to act just like Atticus Finch in real life.  Only problem is, the way he’s acting is more like Freddy Kruger.

I agree Fred.  His gesticulations aren’t consistent with a cynical power-whore IMO.  I’ve thought from early on that he’s fallen head-over-heels into the white knight fantasy.

Forces of decency are starting to strike back against this morally diseased Nifong person, starting to take steps to protect society from further ravages at the hands of this depraved individual afflicted with a kind of moral leprosy.  He deserves all the punishment that can be meted out to him.

But The New York Times really chooses what news to report in accordance with its biased agenda as “higher truth” trumps objectivity.

The phony gang rape story that became the Duke case fit perfectly into that agenda.

The Channon Christian/Chris Newsome case will never be given any publicity by the New York Times because the Jews who control that newspaper are the kind who see keeping the white goys down, keeping white goys suppressed, as life’s most imortant Jewish goal and they use the Negroes as one weapon wherewith to accomplish that goal.  To publicize the Channon Christian/Chris Newsome case would work at cross purposes to that goal for obvious reasons, so the Jews running the New York Times will never let it see the light of day at their rag.  For this kind of Jew there’s been a war on between Euros and Jews for two thousand years, a war to the death, a war they as Jews were born into, one they never forget for one minute and never stop waging.  White goys, the population this type of Jew devotes his whole life to “keeping down,” don’t even know this war is being waged but think all the utter disasters for their group that keep happening one after another, such as the “Diversity Lottery” and the 1965 “It’s Fantastic for the Jews” Demographic Death to WhiteGoys!!!  Immigration Holocaust Bill, are unavoidable spontaneous social changes they must somehow try to adjust to instead of what they are:  carefully-crafted, well-aimed attacks which are anything but spontaneous.  The Jews running the New York Times are exactly the kind who spend their lives prosecuting this war against the goys.  That’s why stories such as what the Negroes did to this young couple are suppressed without exception by that Jewish organization:  they see it not only as not serving Jewish interests but as working against them.

even after being heavily involved in reading white nationalist literature for around a year i only recently became aware of the zebra killings.

Talking about the Jews in this regard is like talking about the Mafia:  the Mafia clearly is not reflective of the behavior, preferences, or thinking of all Sicilians and Southern Italians but it is not possible to talk about the Mafia while leaving out the fact that it’s a Sicilian/Southern-Italian organization and they’re all Sicilians and Southern-Italians running it and carrying out its objectives for their own particular culturally Sicilian-Southern-Italian purposes.  Same with the Jews who carry out attacks on U.S. Euros for what they see as their own particular culturally/politically Jewish purposes:  they’re Jewisn organizations doing their version of “the Jewish thing.”  Plenty of Italians are livid about the Mafia, hate and despise it, speak against it in private, but are powerless to do anything about it of course.  Plenty of Jews are livid about the category of mafia-like Jews who run outfits like the New York Times as a tool for destroying U.S. Euros and, finally, for destroying the U.S. itself:  they hate them, speak against them in private, but can’t do anything about them.  The fact they don’t speak for all Jews no more erases their fundamental Jewish identity, which must be acknowledged and dealt with, than the fact the Mafia doesn’t speak for all Sicilians erases its fundamental Siciliian identity which must be acknowledged and dealt with.

I agree to a great extent with Fred’s Mafia/organizedjewry analogy.  The most salient difference is that OJ enjoys a good reputation on either side of the ingroup-outgroup line.  In many ways I see jewry as a smarter version of Sicilians (or rather, the media representation thereof).

Nya, AFAIK “Nifong” is an unusual Anglicization of an Irish name.

It is great for the Duke team (even if I am a Syracuse Fan) to see them rise out of the ashes to capture the National Championship for men’s Division 1 Lacrosse for 2010!  Congrats to them for staying the course!
