“Can’t have a law on the presumption that one particular ethnic group is more violent than another”

That is the opinion of Ken Livingstone commenting on the police check forms issued to concert givers.

And why can’t we have a law based on such a presumption? Perhaps because the presumption is wrong or it’s inadequately supported?

Nope, its because “it’s just wrong”.

If Red Ken gets back, you can look forward to police wasting time monitoring the Proms for crowd violence, and letting the “youths” at rap concerts

It’s a well-known fact that Prommers have been whipped into a frenzy of violence following repeated encores of Rule Britannia and Land of Hope and Glory, and then take to the streets and Tube seeking persons of colour to harass and assault.

There ought to be a law against it. And there will be if Margaret Hodge (née Oppenheimer) has anything to do with it.

Let’s all hope that Oona King (unlike dear old Red Ken she’s actually the real deal, ticking all three boxes at once - black, Jewish and female, but, unfortunately not a lesbian, then it would have been double bonus score points!), get’s the Labour Party selection and Ken is shuffled off the political stage.
Red Ken has been advocating ‘affirmative action’ of other people further down the food chain for years.What’s good for the goose…...
Anyhow Oona King (Tom Stoppard’s niece apparently), once upon a time held Bethnal Green as the Labour MP for hose parts (Bangladesh West, to the unintiated).Safest Labour seat in the country, 90% Bengali gives a 90% Labour bloc vote.
Until Oona King f*cked up.Eager to please and to get on the ministerial tread-mil (and to arse-kiss various parliamentary whips ‘it’s good for your career, you know’), Oona King voted for Bollock-brain Blair’s disastrous Iraqi adventure.
She earned the wrath of the Bengalis.They uncompromisingly kicked here arse out office (to much boo-hoo-hooing, ‘how could they be so beastly to a black woman?’) and put in Scots firebrand and loudmouth (and crypto muslim) George Galloway.
Apparently labour won back Bengal Green at the last election.Galloway was tossed aside.Rumour is that Tory-Boy’s Cameron much vaunted and oft-touted ‘cap’ on wog immigration (‘cap’ must said in your best off-hand effortlessly superior BBC RP), got the willies up the wogs and raised their ire up so much that they sheepishly and reluctantly went back to the Labour fold.
Anyway, BoJo has put the fun back into politics and his ever laugh-raising antics (as shown on South-East at Six), always leave one smiling.Can’t say that about the priggish, pompous, pious Trotskyite bore.

Barnbrook was was ordered to do some kind of sensitivity training when found to have made a mistake in a public prononiuncement on race and crime, yet Ken got away with it. Why might that be? Institutional racism, anyone?

There is no such thing as separate but equal. Laws must apply to everybody equally. “Encouraging” these groups to leave “voluntarily” would be a short-term measure, at best, and wouldn’t stand legal scrutiny in a multiracial democracy. Secession or the break-down of central government are the only practical alternatives.
