Blair humiliated in terror Bill voteIt may soon be all over for Anthony Charles Lynton Blair. Posted by Phil Peterson on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at 07:59 PM in British Politics Comments:2
Posted by Al Ross on November 10, 2005, 02:10 AM | # Britain today is simply Toad Hall under Weasel and Stoat administration and whilst Blair exhibits all the treacherous tendencies common to so many contemporary politicians, he should have been supported in his anti-terrorism efforts by the Tories. In happier times the Tories could usually be relied upon to put country before party. Not any more. 3

Posted by Martin Hutchinson on November 10, 2005, 09:56 AM | # Civil liberties have never been particularly safe under Labour governments; Socialism is an essentially anti-freedom creed. Blair is the least bad leader Labour could have (other than for the purely partisan purpose of electing the Tories, not relevant so far from the next election.) Indeed, were we to see the dreadful German prospect of a Grand Coalition, I would also support him in a heartbeat for PM against Cameron, even though the Tories as a whole are clearly preferable (if inadequate.) Is that really a good Idea Phil, considering the selection of other Ding Bats to take the post?
It might be safer to assume that the Devil we know is better than the devil we don’t. With some of the mantra we hear in Australia on the happenings of British politicking, I would be shacking harder in my boots if the best of the worst was to go.
I think that made sense.
