A Bit of Fun With the Multi-Cult…

Below is an excerpted BBC article on animal conservation as it originally appeared, and following how the same article would be presented were the standards of Multi-Culturalism applied to animals as they are to people.    Fortunately for the animals, that is not the case, otherwise we would not have the wide variety of animal species that we enjoy as most would have gone extinct, and what would be left would be singular and homogenous, and rather drab as they say.    In the linked article it speaks of the great lengths, and rightly so, that conservationist are prepared to go to to preserve the distinct birds that visit the islands mentioned from eradication…even going so far as to speaking of removing and or poisoning the mice doing the eradicating.    While no one here would speak of poisoning anyone to preserve the distinct peoples, lands, and cultures, of humanity it’s rather interesting that many of the same who would do these things to preserve various birds would not think of doing even the most simple things to preserve the distinct peoples of the world…even if the ones preserved are themselves.    The proles and animals are free…

The mice tend to attack at night

“Supersize” mice are eating seabird chicks alive on Gough Island, one of the most important seabird colonies in the world, UK conservationists report.

The rodents are taking out one million petrels, shearwaters and albatrosses each year on the UK Overseas Territory in the South Atlantic.

The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds says the mice infestation puts some species in danger of extinction…

The injuries sustained are quite horrific

...As a country which has ratified the ACap (Agreement on the Conservation of Albatrosses and Petrels) treaty, the UK would be expected to take action on Gough to sort out the mice problem.

“For the albatrosses on Gough, which hosts virtually the whole populations of several species, this just adds to the longlining problem - not only are they threatened at sea they are now also threatened on land,” Dr Cuthbert said.

The Gough mouse is one of 2,900 non-native species damaging native wildlife on the 17 UK Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies, a review by the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) has found.

On the island of Gough hate raises its ugly head

Mice on Gough Island attempt to carve a nitch for themselves doing things other creatures won’t do.    Some however want them gone.

Mice simply desire a place to stay
and food for the stomach

For well over a hundred years, mice first introduced to Gough Island by passing whaling ships, have gotten along fine with the other creatures of the island.    However, recently there has been trouble between the indigenous seabirds of the island and the mice.  The mice have been accused of the horrendous crime of eating alive up to one million of the seabird chicks each year on the island.  At any one time ten million individual birds, many of them rare, can be found on the island.    In an act of unparalleled xenophobia and speciesism,  the Royal Society For the Protection of Birds has declared that the mice are placing some of the birds in threat of extinction and is hoping to find a means to protect the birds from them…including very possibly the mices’ removal from the island.

The face of hate

Quick to react to the Royal Society’s announcement was Bill Dwarson of The One Species Project, who states, “the mice are not going anywhere!    Any attempts by the Royal Society to act on their hate and remove the mice will be disrupted and sabotaged.    The mice have as much right to be on the island as the birds.    And as for the “rare birds” disappearing, the ideas of “distinct” and “unique” is simply a “social construct” anyway. There never was any difference between a sparrow or an albatross.    All birds are the same beneath the feathers.”

Jacques Antwan of the French based Veterinarians Without Borders had this to say.  “We are stunned by the bigoted and hateful statements of the Royal Society.    The VWB will be sending a team of veterinarians to Gough Island to be on standby to treat any mice harmed by the Royal Society.    The mice are being oppressed.  The Royal Society shall not pass!”

Lastly, the wealthy George Slick, rumored to have big plans to develop Gough Island as a resort should the protected bird species’ there die off, and scurilously accused by some of being the primary anonymous sponsor and benefactor of both the One Species Project and The Multi-Cult Times itself, has come out against the Royal Society’s plans.  In the best traditions of humanitarianism from amongst the obscenely rich, Mr Slick is throwing a charity ball and dinner to raise emergency legal funds for the mices’ behalf this coming Thursday.    All who wish to show their solidarity with the mice of Gough Island in their hour of need and can afford the fifty thousand dollar a plate dinner are welcome to attend.
