Disaster Relief as an Opportunity for Neocon Nation Building

The big news at the moment is the devastating earthquake in Haiti.  Reports on casualties vary widely, with The Drudge Report featuring a story reporting 500,000 deaths, while The Daily Telegraph has been reporting 100,000.  Whatever the number, it’s a huge loss for a country of ~10,000,000.  If the DT is being relatively conservative in its death toll estimate, it’s gone n-dimensional neoconservative in its Blog section, where neoCon Coughlin wrote the following, in an entry titled “The Haiti catastrophe gives the world an opportunity to build a new country from the rubble” :

Out of every tragedy comes a silver lining, and while our main focus at the moment is on the catastrophic earthquake that has devastated Haiti, the one glimmer of optimism to be gleaned from this disaster is the possibility that Haiti might one day emerge from the rubble as a state reborn.

Even before the earthquake struck, Haiti was a basket-case. Ever since the country’s black slaves overthrew their French overlords in the early nineteenth century the country has lurched from one diabolical dictatorship to another, reaching its Nadir under the detestable regime of Papa Doc, whose true evil was memorably captured in Graham Greene’s novel “The Comedians”.

Even though that regime finally capitulated to international pressure (Baby Doc is currently living in exile in Brooklyn), Haiti has remained one of the world’s poorest and most underdeveloped countries, even though it is located in close proximity to the world’s richest, the United States.

But now that the country lies in ruins as a result of a natural disaster, as opposed to a man-made one, the world has an opportunity to help rebuild Haiti so that it is turned into a proper, functioning state where its resources are used for the benefit of the entire country, and not just a few corrupt politicians.

I know the concept of regime change has a bad name these days, but surely this is one case where a change in the way the country is run would benefit not just the people of Haiti but of the entire world.

Wild stuff.  Only 2 of the paragraphs can be read without laughing.  Is Coughlin as dumb as this piece suggests?  A look at his biographical info on his blog suggests that there might be more than brotherly love for Haitian Negroes motivating this:

Con Coughlin, the Telegraph’s executive foreign editor, is a world-renowned expert on the Middle East and Islamic terrorism. He is the author of several critically acclaimed books. His new book, Khomeini’s Ghost, is published by Macmillan.

Tehran, interestingly, is well overdue for a severe earthquake.  The city, which had a population of only 250,000 at the turn of the last century, has experienced rapid growth in the past decades, and now has over 13 million inhabitants.  The potential devastation from such an earthquake has even prompted Iran’s ruling council to consider moving the capital city

If the West does rebuild Haitian infrastructure (and luckily for Western governments limited by existing budget deficits, they can count on the goodwill of millions of their White citizens), it will set a precedent for a humanitarian invasion of Iran, should it become the victim of a crippling earthquake in its capital.  So we have a race against time.  For Iran, it’s getting enough of the nerve center out of Tehran, and, if possible, making existing structures more earthquake-resistant before the big one hits.  And for Western necons, assuming they do a smashing job rebuilding Haiti and secure development funds for some length of time, it will be holding the country together as an example of successful nation building before Haiti reverts to the state dictated by its human capital.  Or maybe they’ll just tire of the suspense and go with a much simpler plan: nuke Iran, and close down Haiti and bring them all to the US.

Magic Words

Magic words are speech acts that do without meaning.

But what do they do?

Here’s an example:

Magic WordWhat It Does
EXTREMISTDraws attention away from the fact that the magician is less principled than his victim.

We get bogged down in arguing the meaning of magic words when their meaning is hardly relevant.  Moreover, understanding that these are acts of magic may help us understand why magic has carried a death sentence in many cultures.

Bad Idea Genomics

While flipping through a recent issue of Nature, I came across an article discussing the finishing of the human genome sequence.  The public version of the project began in 1990, and cost 3 billion dollars to ‘complete’ (Celera’s private initiative cost about a tenth of that, though they did benefit from having access to data from the public effort).  Almost ten years after the draft sequence was released in 2001, the project is still not finished.  There were major updates to the draft sequence in 2003, 2004, and 2006, when, in an event consistent with the eschatological beliefs of the evangelical head of the project, Francis Collins, the finished, annotated sequence of the final chromosome, chromosome 1, was published.  The annotation work will keep researchers busy as long as there are humans capable of doing advanced science.  Although, in comparison to the functional annotation, the sequencing work may appear straightforward, it too will not be finished any time soon.  The biggest issue is gaps in the genomic sequence, caused by long stretches of DNA repeats that are difficult to sequence and assemble.  It’s a tough problem to solve technically.  New methodologies, like next-generation sequencing, make it possible to fill in some of the gaps, but it is likely that any truly finished version of the genome will require a technology not yet invented.  The following diagram shows the extent of the problem areas throughout the genome:

The Unenlightenment

The key game to the Unelightenment is to claim that if you can’t prove you are being damaged by thus and so, then you have no right to isolate yourself from it even though that would be the one way of proving whether it was damaging you or not.

Its the basic way in which the West has fallen short of the Enlightenment—the achilles heel of the West.

No one else is required to justify their beliefs and territorial control with empirical evidence because the Enlightenment wasn’t their idea.  Only we are so required, but then we are prohibited from doing what it takes to get that empirical evidence in the social sciences: exclude and expel.

To put the game in stark terms:  It is more acceptable to impose treatments on people without their consent when they can’t prove harm, than it is to relocate people when some others think they are harming them but can’t prove it.

I’ve never seen that tradeoff even explicated in public discourse.

When (not if) the Laboratory of the States campaigns take off that explication in public discourse will ensue.

Write Power

In a recent post, James has sought to obtain the death face photos of Amy Leigh Barnes, a White girl murdered savagely by a Negro in the UK.  As James put it, this gruesome photo could speak directly to the amygdala of Whites whose brains have been injured by decades of anti-White hate messages, in order to make this crime something more than a bad news story that elicits Hallmark comments to online comment threads and friends, instead forcing Whites to confront the grim reality of forced racial integration.

While performing a search for these photos, I came across the following picture of Amy Barnes when she was 5 years old:

At the sentencing for Amy’s murderer, her mother told how she sleeps with her daughter’s teddy bear, though it provides little comfort, as every morning she awakes again to the shock that her daughter is gone.  Perhaps it is obvious to us, knowing her only from news accounts, that she was no saint.  The image above, however, provides a glimpse into an innocent past, and a measure of comfort for her parents.  This was their Amy- the girl who loved her stuffed animals, not the young woman who slutted around with Negro footballers.  Amy’s mother also said the following in her victim’s impact statement:

Early Internet Reaction to the American Third Position Party

The early reaction to the formation of the American Third Position Party is all too tediously predictable:

The Democratic Underground:
* Dropping Academic Veneer, Cal State Prof Starts His Own Hate Group

Orange County Weekly:

Problem is, it’s just another Freedom 14 production of the Golden State Party. The American TP website also has the same registrant as Freedom 14 and the GSP, and nearly the exact layout as the two. Its treasurer is Freedom 14 member, former GSP volunteer, and current fugitive Sean Vaxmonsky. The GSP website is no longer up (and Freedom 14 now has its website behind a password-protected wall), but cached versions show that the home page for its position essays uses the same pictures and captions as the American TP. More embarrassingly, the American TP and GPS position essays not only advocate the same issues, but are almost the same essay word for word—compare the GSP economy position here with the American TP here, and mix and match with the others—with GSP changed to American TP.

Ron Paul Forums (implicitly white and the only real political movement that has been opposed to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964):
* Candy-coated racism. Promote this on Stormfront, not here.
* ...why do these people keep attaching themselves to Ron Paul?
* ...i dont see any similarity between a movement like that, and one like this. collectivism v. individualism.
* Aside from embracing white supremacy, America could already be considered a third positionist/fascist nation…
* wow bad news…
* Dood in the videos is scary.
* Looks like a serial killer.
* Not that I trust the Southern Poverty Law Center (they call Ron Paul supporters dangerous militia members), but they also published an article on the subject too.
* The American version of the BNP can go rot in hell.

Sportbikes.net politics forum (implicitly white):
* It’s led by a long time white supremist, whose operated for decades with via nom de guerres…for someone who is supposedly so prideful of his heritage why would he be such a pussy as to hide his identity.

Bodybuilding.com forum (Implicitly white):
* looks like it will get a solid 100 votes
* So you are giving america back to the Native Americans?
* Cool, a thiny veiled Third Reich revival party right here in our very own United States.
* This political party obviously does not stand a chance in any election because it’s founded on clearly racist principles.
* How the hell is ‘restraint and humility’ a platform for this party’s foreign policy, the same as what the German’s did 7 decades ago???

There is one exception though in a surprisingly objective article from Long Beach Press Telegram:

MacDonald said that establishing American Third Position as a real force in politics represents a “long shot.”

“I’ll be there to talk to people, to justify what the party believes and that sort of thing,” he said. “But I don’t see any other role.”

From the Brit papers

Nothing much doing, so here’s a trawl through some current news stories in the British papers.

When the history is written of how the native English finally woke up, the press’s ineptness at managing the public’s frustration and discontent will surely figure somewhere.  They know what can’t be discussed, of course (so do you, so I won’t labour the point by listing it all).  And they know what has to be discussed (mostly the “racist” and “fascist” BNP).  But they cannot find it in themselves to maintain a consistent line.  Maybe it’s the recession, which is a permanent feature in the newspaper industry, but they are perpetually oblivious to the accumulative effect of all these juicy news stories they run.

Like these:

Flugate

After Climategate ...

The swine flu outbreak was a ‘false pandemic’ driven by drug companies that stood to make billions of pounds from a worldwide scare, a leading health expert has claimed.

Wolfgang Wodarg, head of health at the Council of Europe, accused the makers of flu drugs and vaccines of influencing the World Health Organisation’s decision to declare a pandemic.

This led to the pharmaceutical firms ensuring ‘enormous gains’, while countries, including the UK, ‘squandered’ their meagre health budgets, with millions being vaccinated against a relatively mild disease.

... Dr Wodarg said: ‘The governments have sealed contracts with vaccine producers where they secure orders in advance and take upon themselves almost all the responsibility.
‘In this way the producers of vaccines are sure of enormous gains without having any financial risks.

‘So they just wait, until WHO says “pandemic” and activate the contracts.’

He also claims that to further push their interests, leading drug companies placed ‘their people’ in the ‘cogs’ of the WHO and other influential organisations.

Projection?

While there are certainly truths and untruths in this world, there would seem to be something unhealthy about making a claim of absolute truth, and actually speaking that term ‘absolute’ in conjunction with the word ‘truth’, as the Multi-Culturalists with their ideology’s Puritanical aspects are wont to do at times.    Toss in a bit of error with this absolutism, such as this primary one amongst other errors and dysfunctions of the Multi-Cult, that the distinctive peoples of the world that make up humanity do not in reality exist, either physically, culturally, or economically, and though I won’t claim to know the exact mechanics of this as I do not know, but this absolutism mixed with error somehow can in certain instances result in a very interesting phenomena known as ‘projection’.

A person (or persons) that is projecting lives in an inverted world, a world that is a mirror opposite image of reality…that is, in many instances, the claims they make about others are not true, but rather are often largely true, or even exactly true, of themselves…and the vice versa being the case as well in many instances, that is the claims they make regarding themselves are often not true, but are in reality largely true, or exactly true, of others.  Thus, by a bit of reading between the lines, those that are projecting unwittingly can and do tell us about themselves.

And advocates of the ideology of Multi-Culturalism do a lot of projecting.

Admittedly, this comes from something of an unusual source, yet it’s difficult to find something as Multi-Cultural as Gene Roddenberry’s US produced 1960’s television creation and its many derivatives.  So I hope the site’s administrator and readers will indulge me this posting of a transcript and video clips from a November, 1968 broadcast of Roddenberry’s work.    In light of the concept of projection it would seem to give hints at the true nature of ‘the Cold War’ between the Capitalists led by the US and the Marxists led by the Soviet Union, much of what is behind racial strife, what drives the advocates of Multi-Culturalism (it is hatred), and even advice at how to deal succesfully with the advocates of the ideology of the Multi-Cult.  It makes for most fascinating reading, the pun there being ever so slightly intended.  wink

Briefly as to plot, an outside force, an ‘alien entity’, has by way of manipulation and deceit for its own purposes, brought two unwitting and opposed groups together to fight.

Continental Drift and Concurrent Evolution of Human Species

A paper by Akhil Bakshi that if it’s not been read is certainly worth a person’s time to do so.

Monkeys, in various forms, evolved independently in different parts of the world. They did not walk from Africa to other continents. However, proponents of ‘single origin’ theory believe that they did exactly that – not walked but rafted!...It is difficult to believe that the South American monkey rafted across the high seas from Africa…Or take the case of the African and Asian elephants. They are also distant cousins. But did the African elephant also take the raft across the Sea of Tethys?

Marmoset - A South American Monkey

Continental Drift and Concurrent Evolution of Human Species

A critique of the African-origin theory

by
Akhil Bakshi

The theory in vogue about man’s origin is that he first evolved in Africa and from there spread out to colonise the rest of the world. This theory is known as the Out-of-Africa model, and also as the Recent single-origin hypothesis (RSOH), Replacement Hypothesis or Recent African Origin (RAO) model.

After leading the multi-disciplinary Gondwanaland Expedition across the interiors of 17 countries of South Asia, West Asia and Africa, through regions of great significance in the evolution of flora, fauna and humans, I doubt this theory and am more inclined to support the hypothesis that different races of humans, like many plant and animal species, evolved independently in various parts of the planet.

The fact that most of the oldest hominid fossils have been found around the Great Rift Valley lakes of Africa cannot make us decisively conclude that man originated in Africa. Perhaps older hominid fossils exist elsewhere in the world waiting to be discovered. Or, if they ever existed, these fossils have not been preserved by nature and are lost to science.

Fossils are more readily found in the African Rift valleys due to the layers of sediments and protective volcanic ash that help preserve them. Key records of human ancestry have been found along the Awash and Omo Rivers of Ethiopia, at Lake Turkana in Kenya, and Olduvai Gorge and Laetoli in Tanzania.  At Hadar, in Ethiopia, river erosion exposed the site where Lucy, one of the earliest known hominid, walked between three and four million years ago. Great Rift geology in this Afar region of Ethiopia is ideal for creating fossils. It is a low area that collects sediments necessary to bury and preserve bones. There is also volcanic ash that allows scientists to date the sediments. Faulting along the rift helps by bringing old bones back to the surface where they can be found. But just because the oldest hominid fossils have been found in regions, where ideal conditions exist for their preservation, it cannot be concluded that man originated in Africa.

It’s politics.  And it’s KMD.

The American Third Position, acronym A3P, was launched on Monday.  Scroll down to the video of party chairman William D Johnson.  Respectable.  Conservative.  Organisationally, behind him sits none other than Kevin MacDonald who “as a Director of the American Third Position ... influences the course of the party and provides guidance to both the Chairman and President.”

There is very little information on the site about the future electoral strategy of A3P.  Too early, no doubt.  But if the BNP’s experience has had any impact at all, the party will seek to grow from the municipal level upward.  The winning of representation at state legislature level must wait - and it will likely be a wait of a decade, even two.

Anyhow, it’s evidence that the line that “nothing of substance was proposed at Atlanta” is a deception, and that the attitude among the people involved in this development towards their fellow white nationalists is one of palpable distrust and, perhaps, shame.  That is not the BNP’s attitude to fellow-nationalists in Britain.

With so little to go on it is dangerous to draw too firm a conclusion, but under KMD’s influence A3P will surely style itself a modern, common-sense party, but a party of the fourteen words.  I wish it well.  If it prospers it will have to survive and surmount a relentless attack from the usual quarter, including No Platform from a united political mainstream.  If it doesn’t prosper it will be attacked from an increasingly questioning body of WNs.

Giles, Baldwin and State vs Federal Representative Races

2010 presents a great opportunity. Turbulent conditions in confluence with off-year electoral races for Representative at both the State and Federal levels, open a window of opportunity.

I have advocated targeting the take over of the US House of Representatives with the Laboratory of the States Platform, which would turn over Federal funds and programs to the States in order to comply with the 10th Amendment.

Others, such as Constitutional Party Presidential candidate Rev. Chuck Baldwin and Mississippi legislature candidate Jimmy Giles of Radio Free Mississippi fame (or infamy depending on your persuasion), have advocated running for Representative seats in State legislatures.  I must admit they have a point but I think they are underestimating the synergy of a combined effort between Laboratory of the States Platform candidates for the US House of Representatives, and candidates for State legislatures.

Candidate Jimmy Giles has been a focal of controversy recently.  Although I dislike the politics of personality that forms the bulk of that controversy, his soon-to-be-defunct “radio program” has been an valuable contribution toward the realization of the potential of 2010.

Let me explain…

The Coming World War on Prosperity

I have vacillated over putting up this piece for quite a while now, on a couple of different grounds. First, it is (again) on the long side and I was and still am unsure about its suitability and interest for the readership. Second, it is a couple of years old now and has been previously presented elsewhere in a somewhat different format. Concern about its topicality was another reason for hesitation, but that dissipated in the wake of the remarkable intransigence, bellicosity even, of the developing countries at the recent Copenhagen conference. With China, inevitably, in the van to the aghast dismay of western leaders.

It was this astonishing and unprecedented spectacle that reminded me again of the following citation of Eberhard Sandschneider, director of the German Institute of Foreign Affairs at a closed door conference in 2004:

“At the moment, China has to abide by rules devised by the West”. In a few years, however, that will cease to be the case and at that point “The lessons for the West will commence”.

A few years have passed since then, and I believe we have just had the first lesson. The first of many to come.
?
What follows is a translation of an article that appeared in September 2006 in Der Spiegel, written by Gabor Steingart, head of the magazine’s Berlin bureau. To my knowledge it has not yet been made available on the Spiegel website in English, although certain extracts from it have appeared.

It is certainly a hard-hitting and uncompromising piece, far different in tone from the sunnily-optimistic paeans to globalisation that routinely appear in the English-language business press and general media. It’s all the more interesting for its continental European perspective, a welcome change from the usual ‘Anglospheric’ context in which the matter is usually placed.

So here, then, is the magazine’s front cover, which slyly caricatures a very well-known Chinese cultural artifact (and symbol of power) to set the scene and encapsulate the fundamental theme in Steingart’s message. When crudely boiled down that reads: Asia’s Rise Means Our Demise. I think it is one message that we dismiss at our peril.

The Onslaught from the Orient: a World War for Prosperity

This will be immediately followed by the article translation in several parts at intervals of a day or two; any errors and omissions are of course entirely mine. Please note that not all of the illustrations in the original article are included, although each one present does retain its original (translated) caption as in the article.

The future begins at midnight

The clock is ticking.  The world turns and as the year changes, the decade changes too.  If our time is ever to come, the ten years which lie ahead must see the potential in our movement cease to be just that, just potential, and progress, and power and confidence begin to come through.  It would be an unthinkable and terrible failing if nationalism in the European world arrives at the end of “the teenies”, as I suppose the MSM will call them, without that much, at least, to its credit.

But that is for tomorrow.  For tonight, drink and be merry, and sing the auld song.  Good luck to you, and good luck to us all.

The Me People and the end of the world

by The Narrator

Reading Tom Wolfe’s The Me Decade and the Third Great Awakening circa 2010 doesn’t’ evoke nostalgia because it isn’t really dated. From asinine New Age psychotherapy to asinine New Age psychobabble, little has changed over the past 30 plus years. (The part about “communication” in that article is particularly contemporary, as well as spot-on.)

Of course that’s not surprising. Thirty years isn’t really that long ago and the twenty-something post-hippie, seeking “crystal healing”, adults of thirty years ago are now the middle-aged scholars and politicians informing much of social thought in America today. Still, there is a certain unexpectedness in how far we haven’t come in general attitudes and experience since then.

That can extend back even further though. Reading Charles Dickens or G K Chesterton describing America in their respective times is, in many ways, no different than reading a modern “stuck up” European article on America today. America then, as now, is painted as a country full of potential and problems, seemingly to perpetually reside on the precipice of calamity and comedy even as she continues to survive and thrive.

It is from that that I suspect the philosophical Me People are born. Which is to say, it is not consumerism that creates the philosophical Me People (as opposed to the materialist ‘Average Joe’ Me People), it is the discovery that the universe does not revolve around you and the age in which you live. It is not that they believe themselves to be the center of the universe. No, they simply believe they have found the perch from which the universe can be objectively observed in all its silly innateness. And from there they observe all the little human ants marching this way and that, foolishly believing that their little lives have meaning or individual purpose within the “greater scope of history”.

Strange Fruit: Race, Identity Politics, & Ethnic Genetic Interests.

Is race biological?  Or is it a social construct ? The “debate” continues because it is political. As a scientific classification, race is one of the simplest issues to resolve. Those denying the biology of race cannot stop relying on the straw man denotations: discrete groups, fixed set of traits, distinct subspecies, pure races, unique features or genes, clearly delineated categories, eternal entities, etc., because without these they would not even have the pretense of a case. In Strange Fruit: Why Both Sides Are Wrong In The Race Debate, Kenan Malik is careful to include the above examples of dividing races into discrete groupings to show that race is not biological. Of course, any scientific taxonomy of racial groups uses the concept of “a community of common descent” that results in varying frequencies of genetic alleles to place people into an arbitrary number of categories—depending on what the classification is to be used for.

Malik claims that, “Scientific categories need to be consistent, reliable and reproducible. Racial categories are none of these. Races are difficult to define and there are no objective rules for deciding what constitutes a race, to what race an individual belongs or indeed to how many races he or she belongs.” If this assertion were true, then science could not classify any number of things, such as mental illness: every new edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM manual) recreates new classifications and divisions with every updated edition. This will probably never change as the research is constantly expanding and becoming more precise. And the same is true of racial classifications except that genetic taxonomies are far easier to classify than mental illness. (The equivalent of the DSM for races would be Cavalli-Sforza’s The History and Geography of Human Genes.)

This conclusion consists in the following: The Jews are the carriers of a religious culture which is deeply distinct from all historical displays of Indo-European spirituality - from ancient Aryan heathen cults to Hinduism and Christianity. The voluntary or forced seizure of the Jewish diaspora from the Indo-European peoples cannot be a casual episode of history, and no Orthodox Jew will ever deny the theological underlying basis of Jewish «peculiarity». The Jewish question, no matter by whom and how it was put, should begin with a recognition of this fundamental fact - «the Jews are a community which keeps the secret of its radical differences from other peoples». If we do not admit distinction, then it is simply senseless to speak about the Jewish problem.

...The world of «Judaica» is a world hostile to us. But our feeling of Aryan justice and the gravity of our geopolitical situation require comprehension of its laws, rules and interests.

The Indo-European elite stands today before a titanic task - to understand those who are not only culturally, nationally and politically, but also metaphysically different. And in this case, «to understand» means not «to forgive», but «to defeat». And «to defeat with the Light of Truth».

Two critical questions that remain unanswered:

1) How does one come to identify with a group?

2) What are the environmental triggers of oxytocin?

REPORTS
The Neuropeptide Oxytocin Regulates Parochial Altruism in Intergroup Conflict Among Humans
Carsten K. W. De Dreu,1,* Lindred L. Greer,1 Michel J. J. Handgraaf,1 Shaul Shalvi,1 Gerben A. Van Kleef,1 Matthijs Baas,1 Femke S. Ten Velden,1 Eric Van Dijk,2 Sander W. W. Feith3
Humans regulate intergroup conflict through parochial altruism; they self-sacrifice to contribute to in-group welfare and to aggress against competing out-groups. Parochial altruism has distinct survival functions, and the brain may have evolved to sustain and promote in-group cohesion and effectiveness and to ward off threatening out-groups. Here, we have linked oxytocin, a neuropeptide produced in the hypothalamus, to the regulation of intergroup conflict. In three experiments using double-blind placebo-controlled designs, male participants self-administered oxytocin or placebo and made decisions with financial consequences to themselves, their in-group, and a competing out-group. Results showed that oxytocin drives a “tend and defend” response in that it promoted in-group trust and cooperation, and defensive, but not offensive, aggression toward competing out-groups.
